For the Love of Castlepalooza

It’s been a while since I posted anything here, but there has been a lot going on behind the scenes with me, so hopefully, the posts will be flying up more frequently. This project here, is my submission for ‘the love of Castlepalooza’ creative event. The brief was short and sweet – The work submitted should reflect some medieval aspect (art, fashion, architecture…etc) but with a modern ‘Modieval’ twist. My entry is a bit odd to say the least, but hopefully you can see the meaning behind it, or at least make your own assumptions!

If chosen it will be exhibited alongside other creatives work from around the country at the festival.

After a hectic month or so of Machines, Miracles or Magic, I can finally get back to putting up some work from my latest sketchbook. As you can see its kind of sporadic to say the least, very much inspired by the amazing eccentric personal sketchbooks as featured in the hidden art of designers, illustrators & creatives. It’s in its infancy at the moment, but I will post up the whole deal shortly. Also, check out my Behance page if you get a mo. Miracles, Machines or Magic is a collective anthology of short stories and comics, with contributions from Illustrators based in Ireland. The overall aim is to get an illustrated take on spirituality, religion, science and everything in between. Participants were asked to contribute a story / comic strip about their opinions, beliefs, non beliefs, paranormal or scientific. What resulted was a collection of exciting and eclectic works from 13 fantastic Illustrative talents, including award winning Illustrators Alé Mercado, Chris Judge, Joven Kerekes, Nerosunero and Fintan Taite to name a few. Participants were asked to contribute a story / comic strip about their opinions, beliefs, non beliefs, paranormal or scientific. What resulted was a collection of exciting and eclectic works from 13 fantastic Illustrative talents, including award winning Illustrators Alé Mercado, Chris Judge, Joven Kerekes, Nerosunero and Fintan Taite to name a few. The launch kicks off Friday 6th November at 6pm. Admission is free, all are welcome. The comic price is €10. Drinks and a few nibbles will be provided also. Hope to see you there!
